Happy New Year!

I write this blog post seated in my new apartment, i hope everyone had a well rested break and enjoyed the Christmas Holidays.

My very warm summer holiday was spent driving along some of South Africa’s most beautiful roads, landscapes and finally exploring the Karoo. The highlight of the trip has to be my time spent in Cape Town, i can’t stop gushing about how stunning this City is. The little vintage treasures we found in the many thrift stores in Woodstock gave me some much needed inspiration for my new home.

I have some really exciting content ideas for the blog, i have not been the most constant with this platform, but i promise to do at least one post a week, that’s actually one of my new year’s resolutions. I also want to focus on interior decor and some exciting DIY video’s and maybe a YouTube channel, once i have all the vlogging equipment.

I’m really excited about the year ahead, i just know that God has an amazing plan not just for me, but for you reading this post. This year for me will be about growing up, lots of traveling ,growing spiritually and improving my health and fitness levels.

I have to apologize for the bland content, but i felt i needed to update everyone on whats been happening lately.

About the look: You know me and vintage and if it’s your first time on the Analogue African, hello my name is Vuyolwethu Hole and i’m an avid vintage shopper, it’s a problem, at a times a great problem.

I’ve always loved colours and prints and this thrift-ed shirt was the perfect print to wear with this skirt, i know the ‘clean and minimal’ trend is a hit at the moment, i’m sorry but i will always be a colourful soul. Print clashing and all, the skirt was an amazing find from Mr Price and the boots are from Legit.

I look forward to what the year has in store and can’t wait to spend more time working on my baby (the blog)

Your is Peace, Love and Happiness

God Bless

-Vee

Hello Readers
The sweet murmur of life, your basking in the summer moonlight, the freedom lingers in the crisp summer air.
You’ve been walking for miles along people filled coastlines. You can still taste the sweetness of the strawberry sorbet you had for lunch. Barefooted on the beaches of South Africa, your feet grinding on the damp sand make you realize how much you missed summer.
The long nights of wearing short dresses and talking to cute well toned wet boys, hauling wet surfboards. You flirt with the idea of summer romances under bonfire filled beaches.
You look out into the distance and you’re in awe of the splendor of the moon, you focus on the cracking of the wood as it is Engulfed by the fire.
The sound of the ocean crashing against the pier is reminiscent of the many lovers lost and other romantically found under dim street lights, with hearts racing and the limp bodies of lovers being pumped by bottomless beers and sweet ciders. You consider for a moment the sweetness that comes with summer. The tearful laughter’s, the endless road trips and the indie tunes of beach house as the soundtrack to bring it all together.
Your heart is free to truly feel again, not bound by the many layers of winter. You’re inspired to write a novel, paint till the sun greets the day. Get lost in oceans deep, and discover many roads less traveled. Summer is not just a season, it’s a romance the kind that stays in your mind forever. It’s a feeling that drives you to tears in fits of laughter.
It’s your backpack filled with endless novels and empty pages left for free form doodles and sweet lipstick kisses.
Yours in Peace, Love and God

Hello Readers

You said we could make this work, in a ragging laughter I kept calling you a kite, you know I only have as much access to you as natural forces would allow me.

You let me fly half way across the universe only to discover that your mind is made up, that you would rather explore the four corners of the earth alone without me.

The road less travelled is a long winding road with various destinations along the way, we find love and we lose it, we see a shooting a star and in a glimpse it’s gone.

We swim through endless streams only to arrive on the other side broken and lost, the beauty of being young is that we’re constantly fighting with our internal selves. We play with the notion of freedom yet suffer in anxiety when things don’t go according to plan.

My dear you’re young still dabbling in your 20s, you’re not in a race, take your time, dance in the rain, laugh uncontrollably at yourself, wake up and dress up like your about to give the best performance of your life. Commit to nothing and explore everything (almost).

Love like your heart depends on it and when you walk away as hard as it may seem sometimes find the strength to love what God has created, indulge in as many amazing dishes as possible, don’t fuss about your weight too much curvy is also very cute.

Live your life, walk on the edge and don’t ever forget to smile and take those risks even if they don’t pay off you would have learned something new about yourself.

We recently celebrated Youth Mouth here in South Africa so to all the young people create your own oasis and chase after those dreams, dare to dream bigger each day.

About the look: I found this amazing striped jumpsuit at the sale section in Fochini, it’s the perfect piece for any occasion and any season. It was really hot this weekend and i wanted to go for a resort look.

The hat, the shoes and the clutch bag i feel are the perfect accessories to balance the slightly busy jumpsuit.

I really hope you enjoyed this look and post, please let me know what you think.

Yours in Love, Peace and Freedom

God Bless

-Vee

Hello my lovely readers

The warm African sun makes me think of all the wonderful, warm, tropical destinations in Africa, with my time spent chasing Government stories it leaves me no time to relinquish my itchy feet and seek after adventure.

Today’s blog post was inspired by my love for prints, textures and Africa. I’m sure by now you’re anticipating today’s content of the many adventurous stories so where do we begin?

As I lay here under the guava tree in my back yard, with the sun fading it dawns on me that there are many roads untraveled, so many places to discover, adventures to seek and stories to be told. I dream of destinations that give me the opportunity to travel far and wide using various modes of transport. I’ve dreamed of quad biking through the Namib Desert, driving through the Serengeti in Kenya and experiencing the best African wildlife has to offer. Riding a camel and learning about Egyptian history or prowling through the many spice filled markets and feasting on various Moroccan treats on offer.

Spying and watching the beauty of the Gorillas that can be found in the Congo’s Amazon Forrest’s, walking the many long, beautiful and clean coastal lines that can be found in Mozambique, Ghana, Mombasa, South Africa and many others. There’s no place I would much rather prefer to discover then all the beauty, secrets and stories Africa has to offer.

My outfit would be perfect for the many destinations I plan of traveling the clash of prints represent the diversity and cultures that Africa has to offer.

Do you have any interesting travel stories? I would love to hear from you.

Peace. Love. God
-Vee

Hello Readers

I was not planning of going out but the ladies made me put on my  dancing shoes, so there I am dressed in a little swede skirt, low back top and my silver disco boots because I love to stand out and I refuse to squeeze though thousands of sweaty dancers at Cubana Greenpoint arched high in six inch stilettos, that can miss me.

Being the energetic person that I am with a glass of Coka Cola in my hand and the seductive tunes of Rihanna’s “Work work work work work” pumping in the back ground my hips start to move and me and the ladies are having a whale of a time.

I spot a tall stranger looking at me with the prettiest eyes ever and I look away, his eyes continue to hover over mine we finally make eye contact and it’s really awkward, I ignore him and continue to shake my hips and arch my shoulders back as me and my girl squad are getting lost in the music.

He finally comes over to say hi and offers to buy me a drink… as they say the rest is history.

I just love the fresh ocean breeze the back drop of the gigantic mountains imposing, beautiful, empowering, majestic and free are the words I would use to describe Cape Town.

They always say Paris is good idea can I beg to differ please? Cape Town is the perfect vacation spot a week is simply not enough to prowl through the many pubs and restaurants in Long Street. Drive down the winding roads and take in the breath taking views at  Chapmans Peak Drive, if you have a pretty penny to spare you can have super at the many internationally acclaimed restaurants at the waterfront.

Let’s fall in love in Cape Town during the last remaining days of summer.

Have you been spotted in Cape Town recently please share your stories with me.

Yours in
